I approve this message, this PSA has been provided by one half of the Southern Fried Inkslingers Brad Joyce. This is one person that I would have never became friends with and even met him if it wasn’t for Twitter. Brad has lent his talents to Metal Jaw Comics back  when I celebrated Baby Number 7 with a guest strip and two pieces of fan art of Whisper and Zech. 

I have even had the pleasure to meet Brad when I flew out to North Carolina, stayed at his house and went to Heroes Con with him and Brad Snyder. I have to say, I have never done that before, and I am glad I did, because the moment I hung out with him, it felt like we were old friends who just hadn’t seen each other in a long time. I’m glad to call Brad my friend and have enjoyed all that he does, especially the podcast he does now. He had always talked about doing something like that so I was very excited when Walter and him crammed it in our earholes and liked what I heard. There is no question that Brad is genuine on the podcast, He is very much like that in real person, I don’t know if that puts you at ease or scares you… take your pick.  I hope to work with Brad on something in the future, even if just a small project. I have a few things that I would like to do, but we’ll see what is in the cards for the future. For now, enjoy this guest strip as I have. Gotta love Jack Hudson and Sporks!

More Brad Joyce Fan Art

Here is another awesome piece of artwork by Brad Joyce! Needing help, Brad jumped in once again and emailed me this. Here is what he said. “While messing around in watercolors I had the idea of bringing Z into a “real world zombie look” so I ran with it! A little mix media of watercolor/ink and presto!” I was like holy crap, this Rawks hard balls… or something like that. Anyway, Brad continues working in watercolors and whatnot, and he keeps knocking these things out of the park. Thank you Brad. As some of you may know, I am moving this weekend and that is the reason that there have been no comic updates. If you want to help me out by sending me fan art or guest strips, I will return the favor!

Fan Art by Brad Joyce

Here is a fantastic piece of artwork from my artist brethren. You may remember him as one of the 2 Brads from Flip and Barrel. Since the end of that comic, he has gotten aggressive in his artwork and has been putting out his usual awesome artwork. His recent dive into water colors has not disappointed. Check him out on Google + or follow him on Twitter @Brad_Joyc3. His piece is none other than his vision of his original creation: Whisper. He had come up with the idea of Whisper while doing Flip and Barrel and called me up and told me about him cause he felt that he would fit perfectly into the Z & G universe, and as we all know, he has. Thank you Brad. Also, just to let you know, Brad sent this to me because I am moving to Corpus Christi this Saturday and getting everything ready has impaired me the chance to sit down and get a strip out. If anyone else would want to send fan art or a guest strip, send away. I will return the favor.

Guest Strip By Brad Joyce

This guest strip was given to me from Brad Joyce, one of the two Brad’s who produce the funny strip Flip and Barrel. From it’s beginnings on Facebook, I first heard about them from Marc Lapierre when Flip and Barrel had Spooky Doofus in one of their strips. I took a look at some of their other strips and threw a “like” on their Facebook page, because dang it, I did. From there, we started following each other on Twitter and we became friends through that. When Brad heard I was having a new addition to my family and was receiving guest strips, he quickly offered his talent to creating a guest strip for me. I’ll tell you what, it makes a person feel pretty good when someone offers their time like that to you. I can’t wait to return the favor in the near future.  As for the strip, I cracked up when I read it. Although I love Nic Cage in his early stuff, such as Valley Girl, Raising Arizona, and Vampire’s Kiss, I have to admit that his acting went dead in his recent years… get it. Anyway, tho it may only be in the talking stage as of right now, there may be something in the works between the two Brads and myself to bring to light and spotlight a certain type of webcomicker. I expect to talk some more with them in the new year.
